What to Expect

Here are a few things that might help orient you when you visit The Journey:
  • If you have young children, they are welcome to stay in the service with you, but if you prefer, we have caring teachers to serve you in both the nursery (ages 0-3) and Kids Church (ages preschool - 5th grade). These rooms are down the west hallway.
  • Please feel free to help yourself to some food and drinks before, during, and after service. All the food is complimentary, and you are welcome to bring food and drinks into the worship room with you.
  • There is no formal offering at The Journey. No plates or baskets are passed in the service. For those who would like to give, there are baskets on the floor at the back of the side aisles and on the silver tables in the hallway.
  • We always have a specific time for communion after the teaching each week. The Eucharist table is extremely important and is open to everyone. Feel free to participate in the Eucharist if you want to. Simply dip the bread into the wine or juice to take the Eucharist with us.
  • If you would like information about The Journey, our groups, or our various ministries, please check out our information tables in the hallway.
  • You will not be asked to attend membership classes or to “join The Journey.” We do not have membership requirements at The Journey. Anyone who chooses to attend and participate in the community is considered a member.
