The angel tells the shepherds, “do not be afraid,” a reminder to us all. The shepherds were initially terrified when approached by the angel about the newborn King. But things changed quickly as they learned to savor God in their lives, show gratitude for God’s presence, and ultimately choose joy in how to live. It is the same thing we can do in our lives as well.
