Teachings

Teachings are the way The Journey likes to communicate.

We don’t like to talk at each other, instead, we talk with each other.   There is not one teacher or one speaker with all the answers.   We understand that there is gray area that needs explored, understood, and thought through.  This, is what our teachings are.

Title: God’s Holiness Changes Me (Isaiah 6:1-5, 1 Peter 1:15)

Michael Noel, August 6, 2017
Part of the Discovering More of God in My Life series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

The holiness of God is about bringing a change in me that creates a different way of relating to people. My life can be transformed by this change. Consider what it means to discover more of God’s holiness in your life and how it can bring an important impact in your world.

Isaiah 6:1-5

6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!”

And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” (ESV)

1 Peter 1:15

15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, (ESV)
